Burgo de Osma to Villaespasa

Burgo de Osma to Villaespasa

As with anywhere in Spain there always seems be a good climb 🚵‍♂️ out of a town … Burgo de Osma was no exception! My first port-of-call was a large service station. I wanted more snacks! Now, as I am on the El Camino route I’m promptly off a main road onto the back roads towards some churchy historic site ⛪ In-fact, this one was interesting as it was a plague and a cut-out to El Cid himself. Atienza to Burgo de Osma

Atienza to Burgo de Osma

After a night in Atienza with everything shut and supplies stocked-up, I’m ready to motor on! Mr.Francis, he says in better English than would’ve been my Spanish 🇪🇸 equivalent, “what are you doing here”? I’m thinking … Oh FFS! My innocent heart sunk! It carefully took a…

Pre-departure & Flight

So, how did I end up here? 🇦🇺 I left the UK 🇬🇧 mid Feb’20, not perceiving what was rounding the corner (a global pandemic). Adeptly, the rest of the world knew, except the UK! Italy was already in lockdown, but as I flew out of Heathrow, you’d think everything was dandy with the world! Now, I’m in Australia, and the UK has gone into a full lockdown. Clearly, I’m not one to be rushed, and I’m certainly not likely…
